After one year and 7 months of waiting, Korean fans of Dong Bang Shin Ki need not fret any longer for Asia’s most popular idol group are making their comeback on 24th September with their 4th album release in their homeland, Korea.
Their return also officially marks the start of the “war” against Big Bang and F.T. Island. DBSK’s 4th album is particularly meaningful for it’s release comes at a crucial period of their career. After sweeping numerous awards in 2006 and becoming Korea’s best, DBSK shifted their base to the Japanese market. They gradually built up an influence and their single topped the Oricon charts for 3 consecutive weeks. Their Asia tour sold a record breaking 390,000 tickets.
With DBSK busy making a name for themselves in Japan, Big Bang and F.T. Island are argubably the only two groups that has stepped up and posing some threat to their position. With DBSK’s comeback being labeled as “Return of the King”, many are anticipating fireworks as they vie for supremacy.
