After viewing her photo, netizens expressed, “Her chubby face of the past is gone”, “Is it because of her baby fats which has disappeared that caused this big change”. They were really amazed at her change. Others netizens suspects that she might have gone for plastic surgery instead.

A spokesperson from Ayumi’s management company, SM Entertainment did not answer the plastic surgery question and only talked about Ayumi’s recent development. “She has been involved in the recording of  “07 Winter SM town” album and is back in Korea temporarily before returning to Japan.” Their plan is to groom Ayumi into an actress and are making preparations for it.

Ayumi was born in Japan and debuted as a member of girl group, Sugar in 2002. She manage to get real popular thanks to her cutesy appearance and her poor Korean language skills.
