Joint China Korean production, Bichunmoo finally broadcasted on Korean television after four years since it was completed, but apart from a decent opening episode rating, subsequent episodes have a seen a decline in ratings.
According to the ratings for 1st March by TNS Media Korea, episode 7 and 8 of Bichunmoo shown on 29th February yielded ratings of 8.6% and 10.2% respectively. (They show two episodes back-to-back on the same night)
Episode 5 and 6 on 22nd February yielded ratings of 8.9% and 9.9% respectively. Compared to it’s opening episode which obtained 14.5%, it’s a fact that viewers are tuning out of this drama.
After giving the drama a go initially, I decided to stop and drop this drama. The editing seems to be very sketchy since it had to be compressed into 14 episodes and some parts seem to have accelerated too fast. Other than Joo Jin Mo and Park Ji Yoon, the others appeared out of place with the awful dubbing and it’s very difficult to watch. The fighting is quite bad also because they move so fast and you can’t really see and people start dropping like dead flies.
What a pity considering it had a pretty decent storyline to begin with.
