Yoon Eun Hye Impending Drama Comeback With Lady Castle

According to Company of the House today, Yoon Eun Hye has agreed to appear in Lady Castle and will be inking the contract shortly with Lee Kim Productions. This will be her comeback drama after Coffee Prince 1st Shop.

Lady Castle revolves around a family of 3 sisters (Eun Hye is the 2nd sister) and the inheritance left behind by their father. The broadcast station is yet to be determined, but it has already generated interest among many fans because of her stellar performance in her last drama Coffee Prince 1st Shop.

Lee Kim Productions who is producing Lady Castle is the one that caused Park Shin Yang to be suspended indefinitely by the Korea Television Drama Production Company Association last year after they refused to pay his unpaid wages. This has also led to a ban for future dramas under Lee Kim Productions to be shown on the 3 major Korean tv broadcasting stations and is the main reason for the delay over which tv station will Lady Castle be shown on.

Lee Kim Productions is now in talks with the Korea Television Drama Production Company Association and is hopeful that the ban will be lifted soon. Should there be a break down in talks resulting in Lady Castle being unable to be broadcast on the 3 major Korean broadcasting stations, then Yoon Eun Hye has the right to void the drama contract offer without any penalty at all.

According to Lee Kim Productions, “Other than Yoon Eun Hye, we are still in the process of selecting the other cast members. But despite the ban, we are now in talks with the tv statons and are thinking of airing it in the earlier half of 2009. If it’s not possible, then it will greet viewers in the latter half instead.”

finally. i hope the production company is forced to pay park shin yang first, then have their ban lifted. and his ban too. it’s only far. then we can all see YEH’s drama in peace.

I wouldn’t trust this company. Obviously they were fine when negotiating PSY’s salary before the drama started filming, but didn’t keep their promise after the drama finished filming. Salaries are ALWAYS negotiated during the signing of the contract. And YEH, of all ppl, knows exactly how stressful it is to not get paid (remember the drama with her company while filming for CP?)

Since they’re sketchy and unreliable, not to mention, they’re highly disadvantaged since the three major stations won’t even air the drama, I’d contemplate hard.

Lee Da Hae surprised me in East of Eden because she convinced me that she is more than a funny actress with adorable expressions. I wonder when YEH when will get the chance to play a serious character as well, that would be interesting.

aw, Yoon Eun Hye! the company seems to be staggering so theres hardly any reason to be overwhelmed with the news. but seeing Yoon Eun Hye again on the small screen would definitely get my watching dramas again. i remember watching her for the first time in coffee prince and was a little spectacle about her performance but she did well. well enough for me to watch her other drama goong right after, haha. since then, i haven’t tuned into any kdramas ):

I’m a little skeptical with this production company. Yoon Eun Hye should be cautious of them. I just hope that if it does go through that this will be a good drama. She has been stellar in her previous dramas (Goong and Coffee Prince). I’m looking forward to seeing her in the small screen again.

I don’t know what this company is thinking to be planning to release a drama after what happened with Park Shin Yang. How can they think that any other Actor is going to trust them unless they get paid up front. If I was in the Korea Television Drama Production Company Association I would have them paid Park Shin Yang the amount that he asked for (its not like ‘War of Money’ wasn’t a hit) and lift his ban before thinking of producing another drama.
