Korean actress, Lee Ji Ah collasped in the midst of filming a water scene for her “Beethoven Virus” drama earlier this morning (1st August) and was rushed to the hospital immediately for emergency treatment.

Lee Ji Ah was filming a water scene for “Beethoven Virus” at a filming set in Gyeonggi-do earlier this morning when she suddenly complained of breathing difficulties and was rushed to the nearest hospital for treatment. Initial diagnosis showed that she might have developed hypothermia and meningitis.
The reason behind her diagnosis was probably due to her being submerged in the chilly water for almost 20 hours in the past two days shooting the promotional posters and a underwater scene for the drama.
Lee Ji Ah thus has to temporaily pull out of filming and recuperate at home. Scenes without Lee Ji Ah will be filmed as scheduled with the rest of the scenes involving her pending until she is back. Drama is set for broadcast in September. Here’s wishing Lee Ji Ah a speedy recovery.

OMG, poor girl!!! I hope all is well with her, too! She should eat, get some rest, and stay away from cold water for awhile. It sucks sometimes with these actors who push themselves to the limit whether it is physically or emotionally in certain situations.
I have no idea who she is but that doesn’t really matter! I hope she gets back on her feet healthy asap!!! (no pun intended!)
20 hrs?! Dude, that’s just ridiculous. DX
I hope she gets better soon! <333
Poor girl. Don’t they use heated pools for the filming or must they use chilly pools to film.
