Never thought that a simple request by a SuperJunior fan to sub this particular Star King segment of Charice Pempengco singing would bring some astounding hits indeed. Charice Star King videos were already attracting lots of hits on YT but I believe that more people got to know her after I subbed her segments. Her singing was simply mind-blowing and the subs complemented her performance and got people to know her better.
The videos of her were uploaded three weeks ago, but it has already garnered 375k views, 1055 comments, 837 ratings and favorited 1916 times. Not incredible numbers but amazing enough for me. It has even overtaken my DBSK video of Jae Joong vs Chang Min Dangyunhaji game as the most viewed and discussed video in my collection.
After i subbed the video, it quickly got picked up by some international websites like Bossip.com which gave more exposure to it. It was also featured on the Daily 10 on E! on two separate days, November 14 and 16. I could recognise my subs that appeared at the bottom which was partially covered.

Just when I thought that was it, she was featured on the Ellen Degeneres Show on November 28th where Ellen invited her to come on the show!
Being featured on the Ellen Degeneres Show means that is really something and Charice has really gotten some exposure and attention thanks to Youtube. Definitely a great marketing tool if you have got real talent. Super Junior and Haha had their 10 seconds of fame on American television thanks to Charice. I had a wide grin on my face when I saw my subbed video on television.
Let’s hope that she does get invited to these television shows sometime soon.

I have always appreciated your time and effort in subbing countless korean shows that I would never have had the chance to enjoy if it wasn’t for you (because not too long ago, not many people/groups were very keen on subbing these shows. I guess they never saw the potential). I would have been missing out alot of laughs, thats for sure!
I watched my first korean variety show with your subs (the afore mentioned infamous TVXQ clip), and because I could understand it, I became a big fan of the group from then on XD — YAH, it was like ..my trigger moment towards it. ~ strange, I know.
